Hi, I’m Jessica — founder of Umpqua Trading Co., photographer, marketer, coastal wanderer, and someone who believes small towns can do big things.

This shop was born out of a simple idea: Reedsport deserves a space that reflects how special this place really is. For years, I’ve worked behind the scenes helping local businesses tell their stories through Coastlight Collective, and along the way I fell even more in love with this community; the people, the grit, the pride, the creativity and the way everyone shows up for each other.

Umpqua Trading Co. is my way of bringing all of that together. It’s a modern general store for adventurers, makers, explorers, and anyone who loves the coast as much as we do. Inside you’ll find small-batch goods, local artisans, outdoor-inspired gifts, and thoughtfully curated pieces that feel connected to this place — rooted in Reedsport and inspired by the wild.

When I'm not at the shop, you’ll probably find me out with my family, my dachshund, Gimli (a certified character), mushroom foraging, hiking the dunes, scouting new trails or poking around other small coastal shops for inspiration and networking. I’m always on the lookout for creative people, good stories and products that celebrate our region.

My hope is that when you walk into Umpqua Trading Co., you feel the same spark I felt when this idea first came to life, a sense of belonging, a sense of adventure and a reminder of what makes the Oregon Coast such a rare, beautiful corner of the world.
